Prices for the Rome Masters 2011 to be confirmed
The Rome Masters is an annual tennis tournament held in Rome, Italy. The men's competition is an ATP Masters Series event on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour. The women's competition is a Tier 1 event on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tour. The two competitions are currently held in separate weeks in May. The tournament is played on clay courts.
The event was previously known as the Italian Open, changing its name in 2002. Its current official sponsored name is the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. The Event is part of the ATP Masters1000, the top tournaments in the world after the Grand Slams, and the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. It is the main Tennis event in Italy and one of the most important tournament of the world circuit.
