Following the great success of Pharaohs’ Palace which Cavendish created adjacent to the recent Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs Exhibition in the “Bubble” at the O2 in North Greenwich, Cavendish has been retained by Arts and Exhibitions Inc who stage the Exhibition to create a similar hospitality facility in the Atlanta Civic Center for the sister Exhibition, Tutankhamun the Golden King and the Great Pharaohs which in Atlanta.
Cavendish entertained around 10,000 VIP guests at the O2 with a variety of different hospitality packages. The 400 m² Pharaohs’ Palace won an award for the “most creative use of space” in the annual Exhibition awards.
In Atlanta over 500 m² of clear space was available in the Civic Center immediately adjacent to the Exhibition. Cavendish assembled a team of people in Atlanta with the necessary experience and brought them over to the O2 to experience the London Pharaohs’ Palace. This team then briefed a number of local designers in Atlanta, produced a short list of potential suppliers from which Cavendish and AEI selected the final suppliers.
Cavendish personnel made regular visits to Atlanta during the design and build phase and were in Atlanta for the big opening. Sales were very strong with about 15,000 guests in the Atlanta Palace during the run.
